Ugly Bunny

Sarah Jane Sichello is the designer and maker behind Ugly Bunny, a brand rooted in her love for contemporary design and the Canadian landscape. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Design, Sarah Jane now creates her unique pieces in Kelowna, BC, where she lives with her husband Brett and their son River Blue. 

The name "Ugly Bunny" was inspired by a fable she wrote during university, about a bunny who changed itself to be liked, only to lose sight of its true identity. The story’s message—embracing individuality and imperfections—reflects Sarah’s approach to her craft, where each handmade piece is distinct and special. 

What began as a side project during her Material Arts and Design program has since evolved into a full-fledged jewelry line. Since 2013, Sarah has focused on creating affordable, handmade jewelry that celebrates uniqueness and can be enjoyed by all.
