North Standard Trading Post is a proudly Canadian lifestyle brand founded in 2012 by Pam Hopson and Frank Fiore. Originally launched in their Parkdale, Toronto shop, the brand began with a few durable basics featuring their now-iconic bear mascot. Since then, North Standard has grown into a nationally recognized brand known for quality goods inspired by Canadian life.

Now fully operated out of Ottawa, Ontario, rooted in durability, sustainability, and community, North Standard creates timeless wardrobe staples designed to be worn and loved for years. They prioritize slow fashion, using long-lasting materials and eco-conscious packaging to help reduce environmental impact.

Design always begins in Canada, and 90% of the collection is either made in or finished here. With a focus on family, inclusivity, and giving back, their non-gendered designs are made for everyone, and their Family Bear and Pride Collections proudly support local children’s health and 2SLGBTQ+ initiatives.
