Barbays began nearly two years ago when a friend's disappointing store-bought scrunchie inspired the creation of a better, higher-quality product. They set out to make scrunchies anyone would be proud to wear.

This endeavor quickly gained traction with friends and family, leading to the birth of the business. Today, with the support of family, they have a dedicated team producing top-quality scrunchies. All the scrunchies are made locally, designed to be fashion-forward investment pieces that give their customers confidence.

Their goal is to continually innovate, seek new fabrics, and test new looks while providing a quality hair accessory that becomes your favourite.

The name "Barbays" honours their mom, Barbara Jean. She's their inspiration—supportive, understanding, and full of wisdom. The company name is a tribute to her crafty spirit and everything she represents.
