Moon Mama

As with so many things to do with postpartum, Moon Mama creator Lexie had never given mesh underwear a second thought, until she needed them.

In 2019, she gave birth to twins. She had just gone through this amazing experience and her mesh underwear didn't make her feel that way; they were what her body needed at the time, but she found them to be visually underwhelming. The hospital-issued pair is meant to be disposable, yet every mum she spoke with has stories of trying to wash and re-wear their rationed pair for days if not weeks after giving birth.

Her background is in fashion; she's worked with notable brands such as Preloved, Anthropologie, Indigo, Holt Renfrew and Roots, and she knows the positive impact of wearing a good garment. It was time to breathe new life into standard postpartum underwear by infusing each pair with a little sunshine. Lexie sourced high-quality knit underwear for considered comfort and durability, hand-dying each pair for a truly unique pattern.
