La Marcotterie is a French inspired minimalist skincare company, handmade with love and using natural ingredients. Proudly made in Canada, owner Elodie Marcotte is a civil engineer by day and soap maker extraordinaire by night.
In 2017, she jumped into the world of creativity, botanical ingredients and hard work. The smell of soap turned out to be super addictive...
"I started reading a lot about soap making as an alternative way to treat my eczema. Having a bachelor degree in engineering, the science side of soap making did not scare me at all. I reopened my laboratory notebook right where I left it and started to experiment. I fell deeply in love with making my own skincare products and being my own boss!"
Her mission is to combine the heritage process of soap making with modern minimalist ideas.
